Recently our dishwasher broke.  We had an Asko dishwasher that was 10 years old and one day it wouldn’t stop running even when we opened the door.  It was continuously running water.  We hired an appliance repair company to come out and give us an estimate to fix it but decided the $400 was not worth it and went in search of a new dishwasher.

My favorite appiance store is Albert Lee and their new Bellevue showroom is great.  The salesman we worked with, Smiley Archodominion was very helpful.  We looked at several brands and decided that Miele was the best choice for us.  The biggest reason we chose it was because it has a 20 year life span.  The rest have a 10 year life span.  We also really liked the rack system and all the options with changing it around to accomodate different sized dishes.  And it is super efficient and has at least 6 different cycles to chose from so even if we are washing a small load we are not wasting water.  We have a baby so we frequently are out of clean bottles but the dishwasher is not full.

We have had the new dishwasher for approximately 2 weeks and so far we are thrilled.  Along with other high end dishwashers it is very quiet so we barely know it is running.
